Top Tips for better Fuel Economy and Cost Savings

Use BIOMEER!

Use BIOMEERTM regularly!

The average regular BIOMEERTM user achieves a $30 gasoline saving for every $10 spent on BIOMEERTM.

Whenever possible, try to fill up your vehicle in the morning!

Fuel stations store their gasoline and diesel in underground tanks. Gasoline expands and becomes less dense with heat. A one degree change in temperature makes a big difference in volume but the pumps do not compensate for this, therefore in the heat of the afternoon and early evening, a liter is of gas passing through the pump is in fact less than a liter of gas.

Don’t squeeze the nozzle handle to maximum when filling your tank!

The faster that gas is being pumped, the more gas turns to vapor which is vented back through a vapor return so you are getting less liquid gas in your tank than the meter indicates. Choose a medium or low pump speed to get more gas for your money.

Whenever possible, try to fill your tank at between 3/8 and ½ a tank!

Gasoline evaporates (quickly) and evaporates quicker when exposed to more airspace when a tank is near empty. Fuel station underground tanks have floating roofs just to minimize evaporation, cars and trucks do not so to reduce evaporation, don’t let your tank get too much below half full before filling.

Keep your tires inflated to manufactures recommended pressure!

Under-inflated tires cause your engine to work harder to go the same distance at the same speed which consume more gas. Check your tire pressure monthly and when the air temperature changes significantly.

Avoid unnecessary idling!

Idling your vehicle for more than 10 seconds consumes more fuel than it takes to start your car. Traffic jams, border crossings and line-ups greater than 10 seconds is a good time to turn off your engine.

Other helpful notes:

- Driving habits and speed directly impact fuel consumption.

- Ethanol bended gasoline (E10) is generally drier and not necessarily better for the engine or gas mileage, but works very well with BIOMEERTM-G

- If a tanker truck filling the fuel station underground tanks, go to the next fuel station. When the underground tanks are being filled, the contents are being stirred, increasing the risk of getting sediments and water into your tank instead of gas.
