Cavolution^TM announces the launch of BIOMEER^TM-D a fuel additive for diesel engines.

BIOMEER^TM - D has entered production in June and is available to customers via an online shop at www.cavolution.com.

 

BIOMEER^TM- D cleans a vehicle's fuel system, restoring efficiency and lost power, reduces ping and improves engine starting. The fuel additive provides a treatment that re-introduces lubrication into your fuel system without environmentally harmful residues extending the life of components over time (with continuous use). British Columbia based Cavolution Advanced Fuels recently completed Stage 3 Trials of its BIOMEER^TM- D additive for Diesel Engines with Canadian Diesel and 1% BIOMEER^TM - D in light vehicles (less than 5 tons). The average increase in fuel economy achieved was 19%.

 

SGS Laboratories http://www.ca.sgs.com/of Montreal carried out independent lab analysis of the Lubricity of diesel fuel containing 1% BIOMEER^TM - D using the industry standard ASTM D 6079 method. The measure for lubricity is Wear Scar Diameter (WSD).

 

Untreated ULSD (Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel) has a WSD greater than 600 µm, too high to be safely used in diesel engines. All diesel suppliers must treat ULSD with lubricants before sale.

 

Husky Diesel Max, arguably the most lubricative diesel available, as tested by SGS, has a WSD of 400 µm, well below the North American maximum allowable of 520 µm.

Fleet Managers are invited to participate in free trials of BIOMEER- D in heavy vehicles, marine applications or power generation applications. This limited time trial provides enough BIOMEER-D for two vehicles or diesel engines for six applications each. Cavolution^TM asks Fleet Managers to track fuel consumption before and during the trial and to return the results along with the empty containers (for recycling) to Cavolution^TM.
